Why I Founded Tariff.com
All businesses need basic utilities to function, whether they’re keeping the lights on, staying connected or safeguarding their property or employees. Whilst these are necessary, they can also be expensive… and have a negative impact on the planet. Tariff.com was designed to find the best deals on business utilities, whilst raising awareness about the environmental impacts of business operations and helping companies reduce their carbon footprint.
The Tariff.com team works one-on-one with businesses to find the best tariffs, as well as offering support for things like bill management and energy efficiency. Our expert team works directly with businesses to establish their utility goals, creating a comprehensive strategy to realise these ambitions.
As issues of climate change increasingly influencing Government policy, businesses are now must be mindful of complying with legislation such as the ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) which requires large organisations to assess their energy usage every 4 years. Tariff.com was also designed to help businesses navigate and comply with changing legislation.
How Tariff.com has Grown
Whilst Tariff.com is still a relatively young company, we’ve already expanded our scope of services. Starting out with energy consultancy, we quickly added additional business utilities. For a modern business, having Internet or security can be just as essential as keeping the lights on. That’s why we added IT and security to our services.
Finding the right team was absolutely essential to getting Tariff.com off the ground; we needed consultants with a wide range of knowledge in their field, not only in the energy sector but also in IT, security and carbon consultancy. We were lucky enough to find great people who not only really know their stuff but also live and breathe the Tariff values.
With issues of sustainability now more relevant than ever, many companies are now looking to go green and work towards net-zero emissions. This can be hard for many businesses, especially SMEs, to achieve. That’s why we also developed a carbon consultancy service to support businesses on their carbon neutral journey.

Tariff.com has already helped businesses and organisations across the UK save time and money on their utilities, as well as helping companies to reduce their carbon footprint by providing advice and support. We hope to continue expanding our client base, as well as our scope of services, perhaps adding other utilities to our consultancy.
We’re particularly interested in growing our range of green services, anticipating that this will be an increasingly popular area for growth in the next coming years; our carbon consultancy service is a prime example of this. As our customer base grows, I hope that this will also provide the opportunity to expand our team, bringing additional skills and talent on board.
